Dawn is a Licensed Clinical Marriage & Family Therapist and Certified Health Coach. She completed her BS in Organizational Management & Leadership in 2002 and later decided to pursue her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy at Friends University, finishing in 2013.
In such a fast paced world, Dawn observes that many individuals are "running on empty" and that this impacts their well-being and other areas of their lives. She approaches therapy and health coaching with a combination of compassion and directness to help clients discover ways to replenish and heal so as to tap into new resources and their own already present strengths.
Early in her work as the Child & Family Therapist at a local sexual assault center, she received specialized training in this area and has had the honor of working with survivors of sexual assault or abuse. She can additionally offer insight and support for families coping with the disclosure of their child or family member's abuse.
Dawn has a heart for and is uniquely qualified to work with blended families at any point in their development.
Dawn currently meets with clients virtually and uses a variety of approaches which include but are not limited to EMDR Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Gottman, and Inter-generational Dynamics.
